Go to Tools -> Options -> General</li> <li>2. In "Automatic Updates" choose "Don't check for updates"</li> <li>3. Go to Tools -> Options -> File Types</li> <li>4. Uncheck "Movies"</li> </ol> Picasa2 under wine is trying to check and/or download the updates in an endless cycle. The first two steps remove two processes with 100% CPU load. The following steps can increase Picasa2 performance under wine/Solaris:
